During the RSNA of 2009,
NAIRS was one of the best attendances in recent years. In
addition to many who came from the USA and Canada, we had
three of our colleagues from Iran, Drs: Bagheri, Fatehi and
Shokouhi representing The Iranian Society of Radiology (ISR).
We are looking forward to even a larger gathering in Chicago
during RSNA of 2010. After the meeting and upon approval of
the Executive Committee, Dr Fatehi was provided with the E
mails of NAIRS members for possible future contacts.
During May 2010, several
Iranian radiologists from the United States and Canada
attended the 26th Iranian Congress of Radiology
in Tehran (www.icr2010.ir
). There were twenty three invited speakers from North
America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Turkey. This year‘s
Congress was one of the most attended ones with an extensive
educational program, mostly covering areas of Abdominal
Radiology Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology and
Molecular imaging.
Among many events, some
of the highlights of the program were presentation of
Iranian Society of Radiology gold medals to Dr. Akbar
Bonakdarpour, Dr. Morteza Bajoghli and Dr. Parevin Alipour
Esfahani. In addition, Dr. Reinhard Graf from Austria and
Drs. Maximillian Reiser and Peter Mildenberger from Germany
were recipients of the Honorary Membership at the
Iranian Society of Radiology.
Dr Karim Vessal, the
founder of Iranian Journal of Radiology (IJR) appreciates

The North American
Iranian Radiological Society continues to grow and we
welcome your uninterrupted support. Please encourage your
Iranian colleagues including residents and fellows to join.
The membership continues to be complementary for those in
training. An updated one page application for membership

).
Our next meeting will be
at the Reza Restaurant on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 7:00
pm. You will be contacted to register for this event and we
look forward to welcome you among your friends and
colleagues for an evening of social and informational
gathering.
